Concerns has been raised alarming the call of some Ghana Football Association hierarchy to dismiss the head coach of Black Stars Chris Hughton.
After widely speculated rumors of the dismissal of Chris Hughton by the administration of Kurt Okraku, a circulating video of Sir Prince, a pundit on one of the most endorsed sports program in Ghana ‘ACADEMIC and MATURED SPORTS’ hosted by Brightoo on Ezra FM/TV has disclosed that he is very certain that Chris Hughton is facing all these backsliding because of the decision to sideline Black Stars captain Dede Ayew and some key players in the friendly match of Ghana vrs USA and Ghana Vrs Mexico.
He again stated that, the hierarchy decision to dismiss Chris Hughton is a personal agenda to defend Black Stars Captain Dede Ayew and not in regards to Chris Hughton’s performance
He was consequently left out of Ghana’s squad for the games against the Central African Republic (CAR) and Liberia in September as well as the friendlies against Mexico and the USA in October
Chris Hughton’s side will open their World Cup qualifying campaign against Madagascar in Kumasi on November 17, with an away clash against Comoros set for four days later. Black Stars coach Chris Hughton has released a 25-man squad ahead of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers between Ghana and Madagascar.
